Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and State Higher Vocational School in Chelm (Poland) will continue cooperation. The relevant agreement was signed today, January 27, 2022.
Over the past years, State Higher Vocational School in Chelm has been actively cooperated with in several areas: international relations, pedagogy of primary education, mathematical and functional analysis. Joint international scientific conferences were held. The scientists from both educational institutions took part in the Ukrainian-Polish meetings in Yaremche, the International Scientific Seminar “Instruments of Direct Democracy. Perspectives of Poland and Ukraine”, International Conference “Threat to NATO’s Eastern Flank in the Field of Internal Security of Border Territories”.
While signing the agreement on continued cooperation, the Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Ihor Tsependa thanked the Vice-Rector of the School, Senator of the Republic of Poland, Józef Zajac for the support of the project “The Gate to the Central Gorgany: Intercultural Dialogue on the Polish-Ukrainian Border”. -2020 ”, which was launched in November 2021 by Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, the Higher State Vocational School in Chełm (Poland) and the Broshniv-Osada territorial community.
“This is a very interesting project that we could continue within the framework of the International Centre for Youth Meetings in Mykulychyn. And today we could think of joint interesting projects that would be related to the activities of this centre, which will be well-equipped for such needs. Already today, within the framework of the Polish Development Cooperation Programme “Polish Aid” of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Centre has received 60 computers for the needs of the IT hub. Therefore, I invite you to think together about how to use this platform to the maximum benefit for our educational institutions, “said Ihor Tsependa.
The Rector of the State Higher Vocational School in Chelm, Professor Arkadiusz Tofil, thanked for the invitation and noted that the results of previous cooperation between the two educational institutions show its effectiveness.
“What we see after several years of cooperation, we can say that it works. I can say that this cooperation also provides great opportunities for the Department of Internal Security on our part. This is an area that is of great interest to our students. Moreover, today we have a very special geopolitical situation associated with various threats: information, information transfer, data preservation. These issues are always on time, so I think that the proposal you have submitted, Mr. Rector, will be of interest to many of us. And our cooperation will develop, “said Professor Tofil.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the Vice-Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University Serhii Sharyn, the Vice-Rector of the State Higher Vocational School in Chełm, the Senator of the Republic of Poland Józef Zajac, the Vice-Rector of VPSH Beata Falda and the Head of International Cooperation Zygmunt Gardzinskyy.
The agreement on cooperation signed today between Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and the Higher State Vocational School in Chelm provides for cooperation in the field of educational, research and information activities, cooperation in the field of culture and amateur activities of students and teachers, exchanges of teachers, joint programmes and student exchange.
