Khimchuk Liliana –  Doctor of  Pedagogical Sciences,  Candidate of Psychological  Sciences,  Professor  of the  Department of  Professional Methods and Technologies of  Primary Education.

Pedagogical career began in August 1987 as an educator at the Zolota Rybka kindergarten in Dolyna.

From 1989 to 1993 studied at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, majoring in “Pedagogy and Psychology (pre-school)” and received the qualification “Teacher of pre-school pedagogy and psyIchology. Educator”.

In 1997   received the second higher education in “Primary Education” and the qualification “Primary School Teacher”.

During 1993-2002  worked  as an educator, a teacher of  labor education at Dolyna secondary school of the first grade  № 8, a  head of the circle “Technical Creativity” at the Station of Young Technicians in Dolyna.

From 2002 to 2005  worked as a methodologist at  Dolyna Department of the Faculty of Economics, Law and Design of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In 2005  was transferred to the position of assistant of the Department of  Theory and Methods of Primary Education of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

In 2007   graduated from the Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv and defended  the graduate thesis titled as: “Psychological conditions for the formation of technical thinking in students of grades 1-4 in extracurricular activities.”

In 2008  was awarded the degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences in the specialty 19.00.07 “Pedagogical and age psychology”.

In 2012  was awarded the academic title of  “Docent”.

In 2021  defended the doctoral thesis titled as “Didactic system of formation of basic competencies in future primary school teachers” in the specialty 13.00.09 – theory of education at Poltava National Pedagogical University named after VG Korolenko.

In order to get acquainted with the experience of educational activities of leading universities, underwent an internship at the National Pedagogical University named after MP Drahomanov and in the Department of Pedagogy of the University of Rzeszów (Republic of Poland),  studied the experience of scientists of  the Department of  Pedagogy of the State Higher School in Chelm (Republic of Poland), the Faculty of Education of the Catholic University in Ruzomberk (Levoce,  Slovakia), the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of Jan Kokhanovskyi University in Kielce branch in Piotrkow Trybunalski.

Had an internship within the II International program of professional development of heads of educational and scientific institutions, as well as pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical  workers  “Together with prominent leaders of modernity: values, experience, knowledge, competencies and technologies for successful personality formation and transformation of the world”  from  International  Historical Biographical Institute (Dubai ¬New York – Rome – Jerusalem – Beijing)

Research interests: theory of education, research of  pedagogical and age psychology, problems of preparation of the future specialist for professional activity, introduction of elements of the newest technologies in elementary school, psychological and pedagogical conditions of formation of pupils’ and students’ technical thinking.

Provides teaching of disciplines: “Methods of labor education”,  “Technologies of education in the educational fields of primary school”,  “Innovative approaches to the organization of labor education in primary school”,  “Technologies of education in higher education”.

Has published more than 56 publications (47 – individual), including: 6 monographs (1 individual), 4 manuals, 41 publications in scientific professional Ukrainian and foreign publications, of which 5 – in publications included in international scientometric databases ( Scopus, Web of Sceince, etc.),  7 publications in collections of  scientific works and materials of scientific-practical conferences, seminars.

Is the organizer of charitable exhibitions of creative works of students of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and the Faculty of  Pedagogy.

Was awarded the honorary diploma of the rector for active and productive activities in the organization of research work at the university, the diploma of the faculty for significant activity, conscientious execution of assignments, initiative in the development of various activities of the department in 2014, n the diploma for many years of conscientious work on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the university.

Organizes and holds student conferences and cooperation of the department of professional methods and technologies of primary education with secondary schools of   Ivano-Frankivsk.
