На кафедрі фахових методик і технологій початкової освіти Тетяна Качак створила і керує студентським науковим гуртком «Центр дослідження літератури для дітей та юнацтва». У межах роботи гуртка студенти готують проекти і пишуть наукові роботи, присвячені проблемам інтерпретації сучасної дитячої літератури, розвитку дитячого читання, методики навчання літературного читання, промоції дитячої книги та ін. Результатами наукової роботи зі студентами є участь членів гуртка у наукових конференціях, науково-методичних семінарах, опубліковані статті у збірниках наукових праць («Актуальні проблеми мовно-літературної освіти та художньо-естетичного розвитку молодших школярів», «Інформаційний бюлетень кафедри фахових методик і технологій початкової освіти», «Освітня інноватика. Innowacje edukacyjne: українсько-польський збірник студентських наукових праць” та ін..)

Під керівництвом Тетяни Качак у 2018 р. студентка Андріана Ямнич, а у 2019 р. студентка Лілія Лужна стали призерами Всеукраїнського конкурсу студентських наукових робіт.

У рамках діяльності Центру відбуваються різні заходи з популяризації читання і розвитку читацької культури дітей і молоді. «Творче інтерактивне читання», «Коло книжки», «Літературні квести», телемости з письменниками, які проживають закордоном, презентації з сучасними письменниками Зіркою Мензатюк, Марією Морозенко, Василем Теремком, Сергієм Гридіним, Олександром Гаврошем, Оленою Рижко, Валею Захабурою, Андрієм Бачинським, Оксаною Сайко, Степаном Процюком, Наталею Тріщ, Роксоланою Жарковою, Галиною Рис, та ін., ігри-презенетації «Літературна кавалєрка».

Literary Cavalier - author's project by Tatyana Kachak, aimed at developing children's and youth reading, popularizing the contemporary Ukrainian book and being implemented in order to attract public attention to the problems of shaping the culture of the young generation.

Така форма промоції читання дає можливість дітям та молоді не просто бути присутніми на презентації і пасивно слухати автора та вперше бачити книжку, а обговорювати уже прочитану книжку, висловлювати свої оцінки, спілкуватися з автором предметно, проявляти креативність та кмітливість у процесі гри-змагання. Позитивом є інтерактивна взаємодія дітей між собою, основою якої є робота з прочитаним текстом. Під час підготовки команд до змагань діти гуртуються, проявляють активну діяльність і засвоюють важливі життєві та ціннісні орієнтації. Такі заходи формують читацьку активність, інтереси та й культуру загалом.

In the course of the project, school libraries are being updated with current and up-to-date literature for children and young people.

Presentation games were held in Ivano-Frankivsk, Drohobych, Kramatorsk, Kolomyia among students and students. More than ten contemporary writers have participated in the project.
